Buying your first home is one of the most exciting โ and nerve-wracking โ things you'll ever do. There's a lot to navigate: deposits, grants, lender criteria, valuations, conveyancers... the list goes on. My job is to cut through all of that and make it simple. I've helped dozens of first home buyers on the Tweed Coast get into their first property, and I know exactly what it takes.
Government schemes that could save you thousands
NSW first home buyers have access to some genuinely valuable government support. The First Home Owner Grant provides $10,000 for eligible new builds. The First Home Buyer Assistance scheme can eliminate stamp duty entirely on purchases under $800,000 โ that's a saving of up to $30,000+ on a $750,000 property. And the federal First Home Guarantee allows eligible buyers to purchase with just a 5% deposit without paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance. I'll make sure you access every scheme you're entitled to.
What the process actually looks like
We start with a free chat about your goals, income, and deposit. I'll calculate your borrowing capacity, explain your options, and get you a pre-approval so you can house-hunt with confidence. Once you find the right place, I handle the full loan application โ dealing with the lender, chasing up assessors, and keeping you informed at every step. From pre-approval to settlement typically takes 4โ8 weeks depending on the property.
